This policy explains how [Legal entity name — pending] ("we"), operating SIPDhara, processes your personal data under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and the rules made under it. For DPDP purposes we are the Data Fiduciary for the data described here.

What we collect, and why

  • Call-back and investment requests: name, mobile number, optional email, the fund/amount/type you were looking at, a link to your calculation, and your language. Purpose: to contact you about that request.
  • Account (optional): if you sign in, your email address and name from our identity provider (Microsoft Entra External ID). Purpose: to keep your watchlist, alerts and saved scenarios.
  • Technical data: standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) kept for security and troubleshooting.

We do not collect your PAN, bank details or CAS statements. Calculators run in your browser; CAS files are processed only on your device.

Consent

We process request and account data on the basis of your consent, which you give by ticking the consent box on a form or by signing in. Consent is specific to the purpose stated, recorded with a timestamp, and can be withdrawn at any time by writing to [privacy contact email — pending]. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing done before withdrawal. Using WhatsApp is your choice; messages you send there are also subject to WhatsApp's own terms.

Your rights

  • Access a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how it is processed.
  • Correction, completion, updating and erasure of your personal data.
  • Grievance redressal, and nominating another person to exercise your rights in case of death or incapacity.
  • Complaining to the Data Protection Board of India if we do not resolve your grievance.

Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers who process it for us under contract (Cloudflare for hosting, Microsoft Azure for sign-in and email), and with AMCs/registrars only when you ask us to place an investment and it is needed to do so, or when the law requires it.

Retention

Request data is kept for as long as needed to handle your request and meet record-keeping duties for mutual fund distributors, and then erased. Account data is kept until you delete your account or withdraw consent.

Cookies and local storage

We use only necessary cookies: a sign-in session cookie, a short-lived sign-in security cookie, and your display preferences (number format, currency, theme). We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Children

The site is not directed at children. We do not knowingly process the personal data of children without verifiable parental consent.
